POSITION SUMMARYThe Service Advisor's Required Responsibilities, Including But Not Limited To:
- Responsible for establishing rapport and trust with customers.
- Documenting vehicle problems by listening to customers describe them and by asking probing questions.
- Maintaining extensive contact with customers, providing estimates on service and repairs before jobs are begun, explaining the appointments/scheduling systems to customers, and establishing with customers the method of payment for repairs (cash, warranty, etc.).
- Constantly communicates with Technicians to obtain information on needed vehicle repairs. Ensuring to contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or time promised
- Advises customers on the care or their vehicle and the value of maintaining their vehicles
- Scheduling service appointments
- Recommending additional maintenance and repair services to customers when appropriate.
- Helping find solutions to customer inquiries and complaints
- Handling phone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and returning phone messages promptly
- Should be capable of working independently, managing his or her time and work flow
